Using only Shakespeare’s words, this groundbreaking adaptation, sound-designed by Tony Award winner Mikhail Fiksel, brings listeners inside Hamlet’s head—hearing only what he hears as the world shatters around him. At this special one-night-only event hosted by The Public Theater, the audience will wear headphones to listen to the riveting first 30 minutes of the project. The experience will be followed by a live onstage discussion with Hamlet’s creative team led by adapter/director Jeremy McCarter (Lake Song), star Daniel Kyri (Chicago Fire), and moderated by Davy Gardner (The Tribeca Festival).
